- Luna(1.67MB JPG): Actually looks nothing like the moon. But it was published in the August 2004 issue of GAMES magazine. At least it's got that going for it.
- Fracture(1.18MB JPG): The base image was created with POV-Ray's volumetric media simulation, then I took it into Photoshop to crack it up a bit.
- Plasmid(951kb JPG): When I gave out CDs of my music, this is one of the covers I would print for the CD cases. (Plasmids are circular bits of genetic material found in bacteria.)
- Brick Tile(436k JPG): I was too cheap to buy the "Settlers of Cattan" game, so I drew up my own set of tiles. This is a representative from that set- the brick tile.

- Snowflake(457 kb): Yup.
- Mixed Tesselation(118 kb JPG): I've always had a thing for geometric tilings that mix different kinds (or different sizes) of regular polygons. This is a tiling that mixes equilateral triangles, squares, hexagons, and dodecagons.
- Children and Blocks(732 kb JPG): This is the result of coloring a tiling of squares of varying sizes. I wrote a script to process images that would look at the variation in brightness in different areas of the image, and use smaller squares to represent the areas of the image that varied more. I fed the script a cropped photo of a child at the beach.
- Fractal Professor(955 kb): This is also the result of coloring a tiling, this time using the picture of some random professor I found on the internet. So what besides a square will be able to tile with variably-sized copies of itself? Here, the tile that is repeated is a fractal-esque Lindenmeyer system. Also, there are lines present that show the structure of recursive calls used to divide the image up into the tiles.
